Rebrand for Criminal Justice Reform Advocacy Group

Crafting a brand story to awaken policymakers and everyday people across the aisle to the shortcomings of our criminal justice system.

Client
Oklahomans for Criminal Justice Reform

Year
2023

The Opportunity

Our project objective was to clearly tell the story of OCJR, a 501(c3) coalition that provides non-politically affiliated information and resources on criminal justice reform for the state of Oklahoma. The goal? Increase visibility and clarity of OCJR brand and materials to better inform the Oklahoma public and policymakers of what OCJR can do for them, what they can do for our state, and how to put that plan into action.

This work would have a direct impact on upcoming state issues that would affect voters in rural, suburban, and urban areas, formerly incarcerated individuals, and the economic well-being of Oklahomans and their state.

The Execution

As a brand strategist and copywriter on the project, I spearheaded brand story development and website messaging. Responsibilities included running stakeholder workshops, drafting brand story and website copy, and implementing feedback.
